TECHNIQUES

Techniques utilized by our Chiropractic Care in our office:

Diversified Technique
Chiropractic adjustment or spinal manipulations is carried out by trained and licensed chiropractors using their hand or an instrument to correct structural alignment, improve body function and promotes self-healing. It’s a non-invasive and drug-free technique that relieves pain and help patients achieve optimal health and total well-being in the long run.

Thompson Drop piece Technique

The Thompson technique derives its name from the founder, Dr. Clay Thompson, who fully patented this method in 1957. This approach focuses on the full spine by using an adjustable table that lowers the part of your body that corresponds to the spinal area that is to be adjusted. The main areas that are treated are the pelvic, dorsal and lumbar regions. This method has grown to be loved because it is not painful and uses the least force, because the thrust brings about movement whereas the fast drop will help the joint go through the rest of the required motion.

Activator Technique

The Activator Method is one of the most widely researched chiropractic techniques and the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its efficacy.

Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT)

Sacro Occipital Technique aims to balance our structure and stabilize our pelvis in order to allow the normal function of our nervous system since it’s the one controlling our body. SOT, which most practitioners are chiropractors, is believed to enhance balance, neurological integrity and integrated function of the organ structure and neurological mechanism. Having said that, specialist makes all of these happen through functional chiropractic neurology and biomechanics, nutrition, soft tissue techniques and the diagnosis and treatment of the craniosacral respiratory mechanism (CSRM).

Emmett Technique

Emmett Technique is a gentle and non-invasive bodywork that aims to release muscle tension and improve movement. Using light finger pressure on specific points, this technique can help address a wide range of issues, including pain, stiffness, and restricted mobility. Developed by Ross Emmett, this approach is safe, effective, and suitable for people of all ages and conditions

Advance Biostructural Correction (ABC)

Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) is a chiropractic technique that aims to correct postural issues and improve overall spinal alignment. This technique uses a combination of manual adjustments and targeted exercises to restore proper alignment and improve mobility.

Active Release Therapy

Active Release therapy is a manual therapy that targets to treat soft tissue injury. These injuries are caused by adhesions or tissue scarring in the muscles which makes the muscles become weaker, shorter, and rigid and the nerves to compress. These adhesions alter the motion of muscles and joints; symptoms like pain, weakness, numbness, and tingling sensation and reduced range of motion. The specialist uses his hands to assess the texture, tightness and mobility of the soft tissue while the patient actively move or stretch the infected area. With hand pressure, the specialist treats the soft injury tissue by breaking the adhesions. This therapy treats problems with muscle, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves, thus treating headache, back pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and sciatica to name a few.

NKT

NKT stands for Neurokinetic Therapy, which is a technique used to assess and treat muscle and movement imbalances in the body. It involves a combination of manual muscle testing and corrective exercises to identify and address the root causes of pain, dysfunction, or limited range of motion. Once imbalances are identified, the therapist employs a series of precise muscle tests and corrective exercises to reprogram the faulty movement patterns. This process helps to restore proper neuromuscular function and alleviate pain or dysfunction.
